MCA Sunday School Pre-K, Level 1 through Level 6
The mission of the MCA Sunday School is to provide students who are not attending full-time Islamic schools with authentic Islamic educational programs based on the Quran and the Sunnah.
The MCA Sunday School believes that all students deserve a solid foundation in Islamic education; therefore we will cater all students regardless of their ethnic background, parental job status or financial conditions. We believe that teachers, parent cooperation, and volunteers are good role models who provide a variety of strategies to ensure student success. Also, every child deserves an Islamic education which prepares them to be successful citizens, who are beneficial to their family, community, Muslim Ummah, and human society as well.
We will establish a bench mark for each grade level and require each student to achieve a satisfactory grade to move on to the next grade level. Our curriculum will be base on the following:
* Aqidah and Fiqh
* Quranic Studies
* Sirah of Rasulullah (SAW)
* Islamic History and Geography
In order to help make the vision of our Sunday school a reality the Imam, the education committee chair, the principal, teachers, and volunteers will:
Provide students a learning education environment.
Teach students a true connection to the Quran.
Have students use Sunnah on a daily basis.
Have a true connection with Aqidah.
Create life-long learners of Islam.
Have cooperation between the school and parents with an “open-door” feeling.
Promote respect, trustworthiness, citizenship, fairness, responsibility, and caring.
